With years of experience and an insatiable appetite for learning I've solved problems using Perl, PHP, Python, C++, and Flash and have competencies as wide-ranging as programming, specification-writing, image editing, and probability/math/statistics.

Always looking for ways to produce higher quality work I keep an eye on up-and-coming technologies such as Scala, node.js, CouchDB and HTML5.
Read my simple explanation of these technologies.

I create inspired solutions to technical problems. I add value wherever I can; writing tutorials, simplifying complex concepts, creating useful tools, writing elegant code and challenging the status quo.

Our world's so complex and vast, but there's often a beautiful simplicity hidden in the data. Always open-minded and inquisitive I try and see the patterns, and create something helpful and intuitive, whatever the challenge. Tour →

Nostalgia

I've come a long way in the many years working on the web, we all have—the web has! Take a look into the archives and revel in the animated, sometimes garish, world of basic HTML and <font> tags.

About (almost) everything

Why should you care? Well, maybe you just have a healthy curiosity. That's often enough reason for me. If you're looking for some state-of-the-art technical consultation then my experience and bio should reassure you, for a start. If you're a fellow web techy wondering about something on the web site, dig into the source code and read my overview of this site's technology.

iMSISS

I am an undergraduate in MSISS: Management Science and Information Systems Studies at TCD. In an effort to share some experiences, and achievements, I set up a blog and called it I MSISS (MSISS is an obscure enough word to work as a verb).

Blog

A brief (and rarely updated) series of posts I never really committed to. I've closed the Wordpress blog and kept the posts on the new site. Instead of keeping a dedicated blog I figured I'd free myself to create anything on the site, and turn this into a feed later.
